Hi! I'm Naomi. I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, so I understand the fast-paced energy of city life. However, through a unique work opportunity, I became a part-time resident of Costa Rica, where I truly fell in love with the "Pura Vida" lifestyle. While Toronto will always be home, I found that the incredible views, vibrant local food, and genuine people of Costa Rica offered a level of fulfillment I hadn't experienced before.
As a certified yoga instructor, I’ve spent years witnessing how movement can heal and transform. My journey across cultures helped me develop a vision to combine physical exercise, healthy nutrition, and authentic travel experiences into one seamless journey. I believe that connecting with like-minded people in beautiful, natural settings is the quickest path to personal growth and lasting wellness.
I'm on a mission to help you find alignment, step away from the grind, and rediscover your most vibrant self through the power of stillness and movement.
Sol & Apricus was built from my passion for holistic living and a deep desire for community. Today, we bring together individuals who value fitness, nourishment, and soul-level connection. Along with my partner’s decades of coaching success, I am here to ensure you leave our retreats feeling stronger, lighter, and fully alive. Hello! I'm Angela James, and for the past couple of decades, I’ve been teaching people around the world how to move with ease and confidence. My journey is rooted in the belief that movement should be a source of joy rather than a chore. Whether you are a seasoned marathoner or someone looking to find their stride, I am here to help you redefine your relationship with exercise through a mindful, sustainable approach.
My method is deeply inspired by Tai Chi principles, helping you relax while running or walking by using better body mechanics and alignment. Instead of pushing through pain, we focus on the harmony between your body and the ground beneath you. My students often tell me they feel lighter, more connected, and—most importantly—they actually enjoy running again.
I'm on a mission to show you that movement can be a joyful, pain-free experience that brings you back to your strongest self.
Joining the Sol & Apricus team allows me to bring this vision to life in some of the world's most beautiful settings, like the rolling hills of Chianti. By combining my 20 years of coaching experience with the restorative energy of our retreats, I am confident we can help you reach your goals. Hi! I'm Gillian. With a background deeply rooted in interior design and brand aesthetics, I believe that the environment we inhabit dictates the quality of our transformation. My journey has always been about more than just "decorating" a space; it’s about curating a feeling of intentionality and refined comfort that allows the soul to exhale.
As the Trip Designer for Sol & Apricus, I translate Naomi’s wellness vision into a physical reality. From scouting the perfect stone-walled villas in the heart of Chianti to ensuring every texture and material in our sanctuaries feels like "stillness," my goal is to bridge the gap between a high-end aesthetic and a grounded, authentic travel experience. I approach every retreat as a living mood board—a blend of functional luxury and the raw beauty of the local landscape.
I'm on a mission to design spaces and schedules that don't just look beautiful on Instagram, but feel deeply restorative the moment you walk through the door.
Sol & Apricus is where my love for design meets my passion for community. By meticulously planning the flow of our shared spaces and local excursions, I ensure that the "Collaborative Energy" of our small groups is supported by an environment that feels both private and connected. Nestled among the rolling vineyards of Chianti, our Tuscany retreat offers the perfect blend of movement, nourishment, and authentic Italian living. Each morning begins with grounding yoga and meditation, followed by mindful running or fitness training through scenic countryside paths and medieval lanes. Our private Italian chef prepares organic, farm-to-table meals daily, celebrating the flavors and ingredients of the region.

Perched on the mist-shrouded slopes of the cloud forest, our Costa Rica sanctuary offers the perfect blend of mindful movement, holistic nutrition, and deep immersion in nature’s rhythms. Each dawn is welcomed with serene yoga on our open-air terrace, your practice framed by the awakening canopy. This flows seamlessly into mindful running along hidden forest trails, where the path itself becomes a meditation, and every breath is filled with the earth’s green fragrance. Our meals are crafted from just-harvested ingredients, designed to energize the body and calm the mind. It's a sensory reconnection to the elements.
